Fees are set by regulations. The following is a table of the fees that apply in the Local Court. These fees apply from
1 July 2016.

Schedule 1 Civil Procedure Regulation 2012
Filing an originating process, under Part 3 ofthe Local Court Act 2007, in the Local Courtsitting in its General Division
(a) in relation to a single notice - $113
(b) in relation to more than 1 notice arising - $59

Retrieving, providing access to and furnishing a copy of any document (otherwise than asprovided for by items 6, 8 and 10)
Retrieving and providing access to, but notfurnishing a copy of, any document
(i) standard retrieval request - $14 per file or box of files
(ii) non-standard retrieval request (including urgent, high or after hours priority retrieval request or a retrieval request for deliver to or from a regional location outside the Sydney metropolitan area) - Such additional fee incurred by a court
(b) the State Archives, standard retrieval request - $34.50 per file or box of files
Supplying a duplicate recording ofsound-recorded evidence - per cassette tape or disc
Supplying a copy of a transcript of anyproceedings:
Providing any service for which a fee is nototherwise imposed by this ScheduleNote: A fee may not be imposed under this item except with the approval of the registrar.
a) in relation to a single offence - $113
(b) in relation to more than 1 offence arising from the same court appearance - $175
(a) for up to 20 pages - $13
(b) for each 10 pages (or part thereof) after the first 20 pages - $7
(a) the Government Records Repository or any other off-site storage facility (other than the State Archives)
Copy of any deposition or transcript (unless otherwise provided for under any other Act):
(a) for each page, where the matter being transcribed is under 3 months old:
(i) for up to 8 pages - $87
(ii) for each page after the first 8 pages -$11
(b) for each page, where the matter being transcribed is 3 months old or older:
(i) for up to 8 pages - $107
(ii) for each page after the first 8 pages - $12.50

A user of a court or a court service should contribute to the cost of that service and all court fees should be paid. However, some fees may be postponed or waived. Application to waive or postpone a fee is made in writing to a registrar. For more information, refer to the:
